Welcome to
VINMATHEE Matric Higher Secondary School
Our school was established in 9th September 1975 by our founder President Dr.S.Irudhayaraj M.A., D.Lit., It is the pioneer English Medium School in Manapparai Taluk. 50 years ago started as a Nursery & Primary School in a corner of the sprawling grounds of Manapparai, and then turned into high school with Matriculation Board in1986. In 1999 the school was upgraded into higher Secondary following state Board pattern for std XI and XII.
Being always faithful to its motto “DUTY DIGNITY DISCIPLINE” our school strives to motivate its students to excel in every aspect of life and to have an integrated dynamic personality.
The students being intellectually competent, morally upright, spiritually strong, purposefully oriented, may be able to face life's challenges courageously and work committed fully for the welfare of all people without discrimination.
Tribute to our Founder
A visionary born in Trichy, with the aim to uplift the rural children of Manaparai, started the first English Medium School in the Taluk in 1975 with the motto “EDUCATION TO ALL”. Once his mind was made up to start educational institutions, hurdles and setbacks could neither deter his progress nor dampen his enthusiasm. His profound qualities created a springboard for many aspirants to mould their careers. The SriLankan Open University awarded him a doctorate for the best educational and social service in 1996.
A small seed sown as a Primary School by his hard work and grace of God has now grown into a big tree of Vinmathee Matric Higher Secondary School, with branch schools in Puthanatham and Thuvarankurichy, celebrating 50 golden years of excellence. His vision has extended beyond school to VERDS (Vinmathee Educational and Rural Development Society NGO) and JEEVAN, the pioneer teacher and technical education institutions in Manaparai.
